Hummus

Easy to freeze
Hummus
Serves: 6
Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

400g can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
⅓ cup tahini
½ large lemon, juiced
¼ cup olive oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
¼ tsp cumin
3-4 tbsp water
Pinch of salt

Method

Place all ingredients except the water in a food processor. Process until smooth. Add the water, one tablespoon at a time until the desired thickness is reached. Add a pinch of salt.

½ serve vegies in each serve of this recipe.

Variation

  • Add some avocado and chopped coriander for a Guaca-hummus

  • Portion and freeze for up to 2 months
